Can I just say that this picture makes me happy? Charlie will be a great addition to the United lineup. This will be key as long as Davies can keep up to the way he was playing before his accident. This is shaping up to be a very good team in this upcoming season.

I think I have an idea on why soccer is not progressing in the United States as it should. That reason…technology. After looking at many youth club websites today I realized how behind in technology the soccer society is. Most of the websites I looked at today, looked like they are keeping the geocities theme. There’s one step for the progression of soccer in the United States.
Being a sociology major has really started to make me realize the connection between soccer and sociology. I think it is crazy how much of the sport can be viewed by a sociological perspective.
Something tells me that if I do not get to where I want to be in the soccer world, that I may go into doing research on the subject and go from there. Soccer is not a passion, it is a lifestyle.
There are many times where I sit around just thinking. I have thought about what to do in my life and things like that. Working today at the Richmond Kickers it dawned on me…I really do want a job in soccer. There is no way around it. Soccer is something that drives my thought process. I think that the blog will be a shift from newsy kind of stuff to being more my thoughts on soccer and working in the profession of it.
